AmezTreat-941(DEPOSIT CONTROL AGENT)

Description Use

AmezTreat-941 is based on an inorganic polyphosphate and is used for boilers of any pressure to precipitate calcium hardness as mobile phosphate sludge.

AmezTreat-941 delays the precipitation of hardness salts in feed lines.  It may be injected continuously to feed water containing hardness salts without the formation of excessive scales in the pipeline.

General Specification

Appearance:       Clear colourless to pale yellow liquid

pH:                       6.3 to 7.3

Specific gravity:   1.3 to 1.4

Treatment Dosage

A phosphate reserve is normally maintained in the boiler water, within set limits.  The correct treatment level depends on operating conditions such as boiler pressure and on the chemical characteristics of the water employed.  The optimum treatment level for any plant will be specified by us.  The treatment may be injected using a dosage pump or a dosage pot as appropriate to a particular installation.  Its viscosity permits handling by conventional dosage pumps without dilution, but it may be diluted if desired (preferably using softened water or condensate).

AmezTreat-941 is not corrosive to steel mixing tanks or dosage pumps in concentrated or dilute form.  However, if dosed directly to hot boiler shells, use a stainless steel injection fitting.
