AmezTreat-8381 (NON-OXIDIZING BIOCIDE)
Description Use
AmezTreat-8381 is a specific blend of biocide based on organic compounds for effective control of algae, fungi and general type of bacteria found in cooling water systems. The active biocide causes stress on cell wall of bacteria causing cell lysis and cell death.

ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY:
AmezTreat-8381 is toxic to fish. Do not use in potable water systems or where contamination of potable water may occur. with cooling water systems, AmezTreat-8381 is slowly hydrolyzed to non-toxic products. Most of these products are volatile and are stripped off from the system, thus posing no effluent problems.

Treatment Dosage
The product is to be dosed neat in cooling tower sump at a point where thorough mixing is ensured. While dosing the product, care should be taken to close/minimize water losses through the tower to ensure good contact time of at least 8 -12 hrs. For best effect, it is always beneficial to give blow down after this contact time to remove dead biomass from the system.
Effective dosage varies with the system demand. Badly fouled systems will need higher dosage or precleaning. Generally a dose level of 75 to 150 ppm is sufficient. However our representative will help you in selecting the optimum dosage and frequency of addition. The product is not recommended in potable water system.
Other applications include paper mill water system, oil well brines, drilling fluids, paints, latex emulsions and the like.
Handling Storage
AmezTreat-8381 may cause skin and eye irritation. It is harmful if taken internally. In case of contact, flush the affected area with plenty of water. In case of prolonged contact, flush with plenty of water and get prompt medical attention. In case of ingestion, induce vomiting by administering warm salt water or any other emetic and get medical attention. Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly washed before reuse. Use of protective rubber gloves is recommended during handling of AmezTreat-8381.
Feeding
AmezTreat-8381 can be fed directly from the container into the basin of the cooling water system or at any other point where good mixing can be assured. No special feeding equipment is required.
Packing
AmezTreat-8381 is packed in 50 litres HDPE carbouys/200 litres HDPE drums.
